The Bar Association offers two $500 college scholarships to local graduating high school seniors.

The El Dorado County Bar Association is an organization of attorneys who practice law in El Dorado County. We are pleased to promote the educational development of youth in our county by offering two scholarships in the amount of $500 each, to graduating seniors who live or attend high school in El Dorado County.

Requirements

  • Graduating high school senior who resides or attends school in El Dorado County
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Planning to attend a four year or community college
  • Complete and submit a hard copy of the general scholarship application, available online at www.edc-scholarships.org
  • Include a copy of your transcript
  • Submit an essay on “My Experience with the Law and Its Impact on My Life,” not to exceed three double-spaced, typed pages
  • Participation in Teen Court, Mock Trial, debate, or other law-related extracurricular activity is encouraged.
